Herbalife - Social Responsibility

The Herbalife Family Foundation: Giving back

Created in 1994 the Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF) is dedicated to improving children’s lives by helping organisations provide healthy nutrition to children at risk. HFF also often supports relief efforts in response to natural disasters, such as the recent Haiti earthquake.

In 2005, HFF was proud to introduce its Casa Herbalife programme to help provide healthy and nutritious meals by partnering with existing charities serving children. The same year, the first European Casa Herbalife programme opened in Hungary, with Casa South Africa opening in 2006 and Casa Zambia in 2007.

Today, 55 programmes have been established on six continents. With 22 programmes in EMEA and Russia/CIS – more than any other Herbalife region in the world!

How is HFF different to other charitable foundations?

When we invite an organisation to join our Herbalife family, we make a commitment to provide support until the need no longer exists. We bring more than funding, by encouraging our entire Herbalife family to help support the needs of the children in our Casa Herbalife programmes.

In 2009, nearly £200,000 in grants were distributed to these programmes. Together, we are changing the lives of children in need.

Herbalife Independent Distributors, employees and friends support HFF and in order to keep doing this great work we are raising more funds at a local and regional level.

New Casa Herbalife Programme in Ghana

Herbalife Nutrition is pleased to announce the opening of its first Casa Herbalife programme in Ghana, in partnership with SOS Children's Villages, Tema.

HFF is providing USD 10,000 towards the nutritional support of the children cared for by SOS Children's Villages this year and aims to support the organisation in future with annual grants.

To celebrate the launch of this new Casa Herbalife, ten Independent Herbalife Nutrition Members from Ghana, from the various cities of the country visited SOS Children's Villages in Tema and hosted a nutrition day. In a relaxed and fun environment, Herbalife Nutrition Members interacted with the children and showed them the value of good nutrition and how to lead healthy active lifestyles.
